I started FUEL Strength and Wellness out of necessity. For years, I learned from some of the top experts in the field and worked with some outstanding local trainers, but I felt there was something missing. I wanted to do more for my clients, and I wanted them to expect more from their fitness experience. I needed to change the model—and it was time for me to put all my experience and knowledge to work. Out of that need, FUEL Strength and Wellness was born.
Beneath the desire to “look good,” I believe that what most people actually want from fitness is deeper: to avoid surgery if they have an injury, to move well enough to do the things they love to do, and to feel like they are part of a team that cares about how they are feeling.
I work endlessly with those focuses in mind, constantly adapting and updating individual programs for our amazing clients. I have earned over 40 certifications, attended over 100 workshops, and have spent countless hours traveling and studying to fine tune every aspect of the FUEL Strength and Wellness program. I personally oversee all assessments, plans, and check-ins. My team and I learn everyone’s plans and considerations so that our environment is never anything less than knowledgeable and supportive.
The most important and rewarding part of my day at FUEL is my relationship and interaction with each and every client in the gym. I am committed to truly helping and inspiring you, the client, and being a catalyst to improving your quality of life in every way I can. I have had the opportunity to implement fitness programs with personal trainers at a variety of venues. As a 53 year old with serious chronic lower back issues, the recurrence of pain and periodic times away from my exercise program was becoming extremely frustrating. As you now, I have definitive fitness goals that require consistent and often an intense level of effort that I was simply unable to achieve because of the severe discomfort, limited mobility and incorrect exercises for my condition.
Prior to meeting and working with you and your specifically designed program at Fuel, no other “trainer” was able to keep me relatively pain free and on course. Your constant monitoring, reevaluation and understanding of how, when and where to “push” me has been instrumental in my ability to reach my goals, and more importantly, has improved the mobility and strength in my lower back resulting in a much more comfortable day to day lifestyle. Learning the “why’s” of what exercises I am performing and participating in a “living and breathing “program that is designed specifically and especially for my needs and goals has been the most important thing (from a physical perspective) that I have ever done.
I know there are other good professionals that work in the fitness industry. However, there is only one facility, and one wellness program that I would ever personally recommend to my family, friends or to anyone who asked…and that would be Fuel under the guidance of Jeff Brockes.

Jeff and his FUEL team are thorough and methodical in their approach to fitness. As an orthopedic surgeon I think its critical that the a person's prior injuries and chronic ailments be addressed with an appropriate fitness program. Jeff is extremely experienced and understands how to accommodate chronic injuries through a customized training program. Many patients find themselves uneasy about getting back into their fitness routine after a major surgery and Jeff is able to work with my patients and guides their recovery to achieve their lifestyle goals.

This is a little uncomfortable but I really want to give a major shout out to Jeff Brockes at Fuel Fitness. My whole life I never needed to worry about my weight. I was always thin and confident with my body and self. After having children my body changed drastically and for the first time in my life I needed to lose weight. I had noooo idea where to begin. I have tried every fad diet out there. They all work but they don't last. After tirelessly fluctuating I finally accepted that I needed some help so I called Jeff. He completely changed my mindset and approach to nutrition, fitness, and wellness. We did an assessment and he created a meal plan, intense fitness plan, and I set a goal for myself. I achieved my first goal - 15 pound weight loss in 6 weeks. Im already onto my next goal. This first picture was taken when I started with Jeff and the other picture was last night. Jeff helped me every step of the way. It took hard work, a lot of sacrifice (wine!!), and the implantation of new habits but has been SO worth it.
